Easter Drama at WBC

Our church is right in the middle of our Easter Drama. We've finished three nights of performances and have three more to come this weekend. We have 275 people involved in this production and to say that it is a blessing would be a huge understatement. It is inspiring, motivation, life altering. Yes, it's required a lot of time as well as required us to hire a babysitter for a lot of nights. But, let me tell you- IT IS WORTH IT!

I am so grateful to get to be a part of this performance worship experience. If you live in the area and want to come but don't have a ticket, come anyway! It's free and open to all. It starts at 7 p.m. this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Friday night we had 13 salvations and on Saturday we had 21. I'm not sure yet how many we had last night. To God be the Glory!

Here's a picture of Marcus and I from this year's performance and for fun, one from last year when I was 8 months pregnant. I must say- this year has been much easier physically than it was last year! Marcus plays the part of Jesus and does an amazing job. I am so proud of him and so thankful for his hard work and commitment to the part. He amazes me with his ability.

Another really cool thing about this weekend- I was diagnosed on THURSDAY with a sinus infection, a respiratory infection, and laryngitis. I couldn't speak a word! No voice at all, and I was supposed to sing the opening song for our Drama all three nights. I went to the doctor and she gave me a bunch of different prescriptions as well as a steroid shot. She told me that I wouldn't be able to sing on Friday night and that if I did I'd risk doing damage to my vocal cords that would prevent me from singing the rest of the nights. I spread the word to my faithful prayer warrior friends at church, and God showed up. Not only was I able to sing (even though I still didn't have much of a voice when speaking), but I feel like it was one of the best performances I've ever been able to give. God gave me a peace and calm that I've never experienced before when singing (I'm typically a nervous wreck when I sing), and He made my voice stronger than it's been before. I don't know why, but I'm always amazed when God works and moves in such an intimate and powerful way. He does it time and time again, so I shouldn't be surprised. Is there an area in your life that you're doubting His power in? Pray and believe. Allow some of your friends to pray for you, too. If you don't have friends that can pray for you, let me know and I will be happy to. God is real, He cares about you and He is ready to show up in a big way!

Love to you all!~
