House for Sale!

Today we met with a Realtor to list our house for sale. This process is scary and exciting...and has been stressful so far! If you have kids you know that they tend to take their toll on the house they live in- crayon marks on the floor, dirty hand prints on the walls, stains on the carpet, and all sorts of other mishaps. We have been working like crazy for the past few months to get things back to looking presentable and we are pleased with the work we've been able to do. It still is not perfect, but it is a great start. We bought a few acres of land and were hoping to sell this house, rent for a while, and build our dream house. With the prices of building materials at an all time high, we're not so sure that this will work out, and we may end up buying a house already on the market. You can get about twice the square footage in our area right now if you buy versus build. Crazy, right?!?!

Either way,  Our first step is to sell this house, and then we'll decide where to go from there.

One thing is for sure, God has it all figured out. Whether it takes 2 weeks, 2 months or 2 years to sell, we know that He has a plan in place that will be for our good and His glory!

I wanted to share some pictures of the house looking its best. Some of you that know us well and are over often will be shocked that we could get it this clean! lol.

We painted K's room to make it less bright.

We took out 2/3 of K's toys and stuffed animals. She still has too many! :)

We added storage baskets for the toys we kept and categorized them by basket.

We shampooed all of the carpets...boy did we need it!

Paint touch ups and new accessories

We removed a lot of things from the kitchen and a few of our cabinets to make it feel bigger.

New paint, trim, and organized cabinets!

Paint touched up, new accessories, old things put away.

We changed out the curtains and the bedding.

We added tile floor to the Master Bath.

We took down existing shelves and touched up the paint.

We removed four of our 8 chairs to make the space seem bigger.

New Flowers

We painted all of the shutters...Marcus had to hang out of the window for this set!
This picture wasn't taken today...it was from a month ago because somehow I didn't take one today.
My Dad helped me paint almost the entire house. We finished it in one day!  We also took down all our personal photographs and wall hangings and put up a few neutral ones.

I'll keep you posted on if we have any showings or offers. We don't know what God has in store, but we do know that He is good and He is able to be trusted.

Love y'all!
